I think Doug Sills would be an amazing Archie! I would like to see Daisy Eagan have a role- maybe Martha. Although for some reason, I want to say Sutton Foster would make a really good Martha. Beyond that, I don't know- she's not really old enough, but Bebe Neuwirth would make a good Mrs. Medlock. I really like Rebecca Luker as Lilly. The Secret Garden is the first Broadway musical I saw and I loved it so much. I's so excited that they're doing a concert!

Ah...this is one of my favorites and I am very excited. Of course I think I really like it only because of the music and that is why a concert would be so perfect. As hard as I try, I am having a hard time thinking of casting ideas for most roles...here's a try:
Archie: Brian D'arcy James, Brent Barrett (although he is a little too pretty...HOT!)
Neville: James Barbour, Brian Stokes Mitchell
Lily: Rebecca Luker (maybe a little old, but LOVE her); younger: Jennifer Hope Wills or Kelli O'Hara (I like a lighter look vs. dark for Lily...very ethereal...and she did die when she was young)
Martha: hmmmm...don't know....maybe Sutton Foster but not sure...not "earthy" enough for me...maybe someone fresh and new? (I like younger here to match the book)
Dickon: Jesse Tyler Ferguson, John Jeffrey Martin
Mary: ?????????? Does the little girl from Pillowman sing?
This is harder than I thought. You really need some great legit voices for this music to make it soar and that seems to be harder and harder to find simply because most shows are pop oriented now. I know the voices are out there, they just are not getting to perform. I also know this is a concert so stars are eagerly searched out but I threw in some "up and comers" that I have really enjoyed seeing on stage.

Sorry about my age comment earlier on Ms. Luker...I LOVE her voice and I always forget that there can be greater liberties when casting a concert. I tend to automaticlly think of who I would want to see onstage in an actual revival.

Mary... that's a hard one. Any kids/teenagers in shows right now? Thinking outside of the box will definitely be neccessary for this one, as well as Colin. Any ideas?
Do you guys remember the little girl from "Don't Say a Word" several years ago? She was also attached to the production of "The Miracle Worker" with Hilary Swank. I don't know how old she is now, but she sang a little bit in "Don't Say a Word." She wasn't bad.
I like Rebecca Luker as Lily...I'm a fan of her voice to...if you get a chance to see her live its truly something to see. Her Julie Jordan in ASO's Carousel Concert was AMAZING
Just saw this show for the first time tonight and loved it. Of course, it helps that I had several friends in it, but it brought about an appreciation for the music that I did not have before even though I own the cast recording.
Any time is a good time to import Anthony Warlow...
I would be the happiest person if Anthony Warlow and James Barbour do " Lily's Eyes" together.

William Michals as Neville, he does a fantastic job with Lily's eyes. For Mary, Allison Fischer, if she's not too old now. She was excellent in Prince and the Pauper.

I'd really like to see Alison Fraser reprise her role as Martha. Age, Schmage. If it's in concert, I don't really care.
