The list of cast albums not on CD gets shorter all the time. Whoever thought we would get SAY, DARLING on CD? ANd DRG will finally release ILLYA DARLING! on Apr 29.
Top of my wish list is ANYA (a musical version of ANASTASIA with the music of Rachmaninoff set to lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest.)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Bryan? Is that you??
Happy Hunting and Bajour would be great additions as well.
But this is one of the best reasons to collect LP's-they are often the only way to get a listen to some of the lesser known shows from the Golden Age.

Happy Hunting and Bajour both got CD issues, but have since gone out of print.
Isn't DRG reissuing HAPPY HUNTING?

It can't be bryan. There was no mention of Good Vibrations.

Not sure whether "Eubie" ever got a cd release.
In only made a private digital copy of it from the LP.
Philcrosby, you are indeed correct.
How about a reissue of Edwin Drood? I paid a quarter for my LP, which fetches outrageous prices on Ebay and Amazon. Even the CD's sell for well over $70.
BeeHive-The Musical
One of my favorite recordings of all time!
Now that Say,Darling if finally on CD, I will be happy for a while.
Happy Hunting and Bajour have been on CD for a while.
Happy Hunting is getting a second pressing soon by DRG Records.
I agree with Drood; have it but would love it to be available for regional productions to hear.
I wish they would rerelease "Woman of the Year" on CD.
If I am not mistaken you can download Beehive from itunes. I could have sworn I saw it. I am not at home to check but I will when I get home.
You are right JRybka, it is available on itunes. It did have a transfer to CD, but if I recall correctly it was only available in a certain area outside the US.
And I completely agree that 'Anya' needs a CD transfer!
Bryan is back.
All is right with thr world. Carry on my good man. Good show.
