How about "They're Playing Our Song"? Eight members in the cast not too much required as it relates to set.

2 Hilarious off-broadway shows with small casts u might consider doing are

Ruthless!: The one that Laura Bell Bundy got her start doing (with Britney Spears as her understudy lol). It's usually performed by a cast of 6 performing 11 (sorta lol) roles. The roles are all female and thecast requires 1 small child and usually contains 1 male in drag. I have however seen it performed by all men in drag lol. The plot deals with a little girl so obsessed with becoming famous, she kills everyone in her path including her family...it's a comedy hee hee

No Way To Treat a Lady: 4 Cast members, playing about a Bazillion roles. 2 male, 2 female cast. Plot deals with 2 men, 1 a detective, the other an unemployed actor who decides to become famous by becoming a serial killer. The 2 men stay in the same role throughout the show, but killer takes on a different "character" for each murder (an irish priest, a latin dance instructor etc). 1 woman plays the mother of each male, while also being every victim murdered by the killer. The other female plays the detective's girlfriend and stays that role throughout. Amazing show, but technically tough. When I did it, the actors playing the multiple roles basically became lifesize Barbie dolls, a team of dressers hurriedly preparing them for the next character.

Hope I've helped. : )

Yes that's me. No, it's not a Rent homage.

oooh thanks BatBoy, that was a big help!
And BroadwayBoobs, SUCH an amazing idea. If Oscar! ever gets written I promise you'll be in the front row on opening night. In the Gershwin, of course, because that's the only venue that could hold such a large........ show..... re: small musicals

I think you should go with YAGMCB! A great show, with great parts, and great songs.

Sorry, missed the abbreviation.

BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"
