Synthesizers...
The union will not allow fully synthesized orchestras on Broadway.

I really hope they don't have synthesized orchestra. When I saw Oklahoma on tour in LA, the orchestra was partially synthesized, and it really made a difference.
And as for Doyle doing Les miz, I think that would be catastrophic

One day an orchestra will consist of 2 Jews Harps & a Kazoo
Naturally ticket prices will reflect this reduction in weekly nuts.(Stifling a giggle)

If they did, there would be no need for a union
I imagine listening to a Jule Styne score with synthesizers & go screaming into the night

Posted: 9/28/06 at 7:47pmSynthesizers take so much away from the experiance. In my opinion a full orchestra really puts a musical above and beyond. They're's nothing like hearing an orchestra play the overture of your favorite musical live.

Um, you've been listening to synths for many years now. Can't afford full strings...
Otherwise ticket prices would be $500 per. The price is not for the band, but the teamsters union members that must turn your lights on, or change your underwear for the actors. (that's almost a joke...)

Until these costs are brought under control, prices will continue to rise
