I decided to listen to some of my older things. Things I have not listened to in a while, and I put on:
Little Me(obc)- intresting, it was ok....good
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang(movie soundtrack)- fantastic, I love the music box number.
Sound of Music(movie soundtrack)- I just watched the movie on TV and decided to listen to the soundtrack, Julie Andrews does it for me.
Kiss of the Spiderwoman(obc)- I LOVE THIS!!
Joesph....(Donny Osmand)- this is great! the harmony is great! I gotta pick up this dvd......
so, what is something you have not listened to in a while that you have recently re-discoverd?

Phantom of the Opera.
seeing as I never much liked it.
But I saw the film a few hours ago and I was somewhat blown away.
And being a shameless shill like I am, here is my review.

Maybe it's because the acompaniement is so simple in the original and there is a blandness to that recording that I don't like. I think the revival recording embodies the characters from the comic strip better than the original.

Posted: 1/2/05 at 2:03pmI LOVE LOVE LOVE the YAGMCB soundtrack with Anthony, Roger, Kristen...ahh, it's so great! At first I thought it was a little childish and uninteresting, but then I realized, hey! they're supposed to be these little kids from the Peanuts' strip. Ahh, the cast is amazing! And like zippyjen, the revival is so amazing, I don't want to bother listening to the first one...
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
What did she realize, Kitten?
That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs.
What's wrong with that?
