i have a large collection of souvenir programs (the glossy ones) that i have collected over the years from shows.
recently, i have been debating if i should keep them or not.
here is my justification on why i should NOT keep them, but instead, sell them:
i also have posters for the majority of these shows. the posters, when i can, i get them signed. i also have playbills from every show i've seen before.
with the posters and the playbills together, is it necessary for me to have all three items??
also, some of these shows, i have the books that have come to develop over the years. for instance: all the disney shows, "sunset blvd.", "the who's tommy", and "les miz" to name a few.

Of course it's not necessary. It's not evenn necessary to keep one thing from each show. I know I don't.
But instead of necessary, its a matter of what makes you happy. Whether or not you WANT them. Do they hold any memories? Do they bring memories to you in more detail?
I'm not a saver -- I throw away everything. But only YOU can decide if you want to save stuff.

i agree with what others have said- it's all about what you want- if they mean something to you then you should keep them- if not, maybe you should sell them.
I personally keep everything: Playbills, Programs, Tickets and Flyers. i am also one of those people who collect all the discarded playbills on the floor after the show is over. LOL.
