spelling bee SRO

what are the odds of getting SRO for a wednesday matinee? what time should i start lining up?
#2

re: spelling bee SRO

I bought a standing room ticket for last week's Wed. matinee at around noon.

re: spelling bee SRO

I donn't know specifically about Wed matinee, but last Tuesday after the lottery at 5:30 there was still standing room available (for a 7:00 show) so it would seem that it doesn't really sell out too early, if at all

re: spelling bee SRO

how many standing room "seats" are there in this theatre?
#5

re: spelling bee SRO

i'm not sure on how many... but they usually sell out after the lottery, because people who don't win will get sro... as you should!

re: spelling bee SRO

are SRO tickets available before the lottery?

re: spelling bee SRO

How much does their SRO cost?

re: spelling bee SRO

i don't think so, since they don't sell sro until the theatre is sold out.

re: spelling bee SRO

They start selling SRO tickets when the box office opens, provided that the performance is sold out (which it usually is).

re: spelling bee SRO

There's actually quite a few SRO seats.
I'd say at least 20, if not 30.

I got mine in the beg. of July at around 12:15 for an 3 pm show... altho i got 2 of the last 3 seats.

re: spelling bee SRO

I stood two weeks ago, on a Monday night. Bought my ticket at 5:30 for an 8PM show.

re: spelling bee SRO

They are not hard to get (just be there a couple of hours before the show)

re: spelling bee SRO

I'm quite short (like 5 ft). Does anyone know if SRO places would be a problem as far as seeing the stage?

I know some theatres have bars/walls in front of the SRO places.

re: spelling bee SRO

You will not have a problem seeing even if you are really short

re: spelling bee SRO

The SRO spots are above the seating. So there is no problem if you are short.

re: spelling bee SRO

SRO is very easy to get, or at least was for me. I got SRO on the day of at around 4 to 5, I don't really remember. All I do remember was the fact that at 3 people started lining up for the WICKED lottery and I was amazed at how many people try for this lottery. It was nowhere near that big when I got lottery tickets after it opened......I mean if your 13 year old wants to see it that bad....
ANYways. Standing room for Spelling Bee is just perfect. The sides loose a few things extreme upstage and some of the lines don't always come across when you can't see the actors faces, but I think that it's just the sound system. Either way, get these tickets...SEE THIS SHOW!!!

re: spelling bee SRO

If you're going to do the lottery for Spelling Bee, do it on a Monday night. That's the only night when you won't get the Wicked rejects who try the lottery just because it's there. Any other night, SRO is the way to go.

re: spelling bee SRO

Are you sure they only sell SR if it's sold out? Because when I was there recently, after the lottery, they announced that full price seats and standing room were both still available

re: spelling bee SRO

So if I got to the theatre at 11 AM on a Saturday and was planning on getting SRO for Spelling Bee for the 2:00 show would it be reasonable to think that 5 others (friends) and I could all get a ticket?

re: spelling bee SRO

should be, as long as it is sold out. Have fun!!

re: spelling bee SRO

So, and this is a general thing, do they only sell SRO tickets if the show is sold out? Because I have heard of there being full price tickets avaliable at the same time SRO tickets are avaliable. I thought that it was also just a way to save a little money...

Brandon
