spiderman Riedel comments ny post..

I wondering if he realizes how dumb that article sounds from a constuction stand point.. Yes Strohman was tacky ,yes Mel has a big ego,yes the show is not as good as the producers(never saw the show just going by the boards). To re rake and to extend the balcony is a huge job .Just because Taymore is doing doesnt mean its gonna work eg green bird, juan darian. Go look at the bill for the redo of the Longacre. Its also my understanding that if the right person comes along the Hilton is for sale. These are just my opinions.Joe schmo .

Keep in mind that if anyone changes any aspect of the theatre for their show then they have to pay to bring it back the way it is. And, I am sure that whoever buys the Hilton is going to buy it whatever way it is.

I remember when Pirate Queen opened up there was talk of the producers buying it and turning it into a perpous theatre just for that show.

re: spiderman Riedel comments ny post..

I've posted about this before, so bear with me. Here's what REALLY happened when Stroman was checking out the Hilton.

When it looked like the St. James wasn't going to work out, she went to look at the Hilton. She went in the morning, when she was told there wouldn't be anyone there. But when she went into the theatre, there was one (ONE!) new cast member, who was warming up on stage for a put-in rehearsal later that day. That cast member told the rest of the cast, and somehow this has morphed into the idea that Stroman was checking out the theatre during a full-blown rehearsal. Stroman is very considerate, and would never do that.

But I'm aware that people are going to believe what they want, so this post won't really matter.

Speculation that the show could close by the end of the year... Hmmm I'll speculate it'll be closed by the end of the summer!!!! if not sooner.

1)It's common sense in all message boards. It's like citing a quote in an essay.
2)Check your homonyms.

But on a more serious note, Spiderman would probably work great in that theatre, better than any other Broadway theatre that may be available (or not available)

I'm the one who said your post made no sense and it didn't, so don't pick on Lizzie. You are welcome to pick on me if you dare.

I'm not sure about the Bono score, but I, for one (and I may be the only one) am very happy to see this happen. Though I wish it were Batman, instead. THERE is a superhero character that could be brilliant onstage.

localonedude, I am happy that being a stagehand means not having to copy and paste on the job. Otherwise we'd all be in danger.

Actually, that wasn't what I was commenting on at all.
