flanders can see the future. he passes by a a theater with a sign that says "The Rosie O'Donnel Musical," then his premonition is another sign being put up saying "Closed after 3 performances."

hahaha oh the Simpsons... that show and W&G are the only people to make a Taboo joke and make me laugh.

The thought of Homer singing his own version of "Rose's Turn" is horrifying.

I hope they do it some time.

There was also that reference to Gypsy many seasons ago: "Everything's coming up Milhouse!"

Because it did... and it was wonderful... and beautiful... and honest... and everything else. Just because it wasn't mainstream and it didn't last a hugely long time (Which really isn't unusual btw) doesn't mean that it didn't make its mark.
