I love Barrymores...this is so sad. I think I'm going to have to take a friend there this weekend now.

Mc Hales - reported to have the best burger in NYC. I have to go before more of the old New York vanishes. seems like only big companies can pay the insane rents being asked by property owners

I could very easily do without another Marquis theater . You have to be a sprinter to get to the bathroom. The person who designed it is a sadistic **** & should be forced to watch Hassellhoff in J/H 24/7 until he mind turns to mush - which should take no more than a few minutes

That's sad.
I'll miss Puleo's2, and their mushroom ravioli. What won't be missed is the parking garage behind it. I paid 40 something bucks to be close because my wife is handicapped and can't walk far.

Staying on the topic of diappearing restaurants ( & other things) I wonder when the old Mayfair Theater ( directly opposite TKTS ) with the billboard that wraps around the block will be pounded to dust in the name of progress

I am surprised it lasted this long. That is one valuable piece of propety

Mc Hales will be missed. Another part of old New York gone by the wayside. Not too many more left in the march for progress (not)

Aaaaaa! I go to Puleo's Too whenever I'm seeing a show in that area. I covet the pasta with mussels. That's so depressing...

I meet up with my Roundabout friends from time to time at Barrymore's. But places like Hamburger Harry's and the Quiet Man have disappeared as well.

So Let's start a "thing"
to get Disney to recreate our fav
Theatre restaurants in their Hotel Lobby
They know how to do that
some Queen recreated a cosmetic store on Main Street USA
and the Theatre should resemble an Older Beautiful Theatre
They did a Good Job on the New Amsterdam
McHales has to stay there
or we will have Local Ones running amock
amuck?
