the future of dance on broadway

this really isnt off topic though it may seem that way at first.

has anyone seen "shall we dance"? it wasnt bad. watching people ballroom dancing definately tapped into my dancer instincts. i thought back to a number of shows that were amazing...and even more amazing when the characters were quickstepping across the floor.
anybody else feel like they should go take a ballroom class for the future of broadway? i mean in the world today we are so caught up in going to clubs, i think artistically, we are losing that sort of traditional dancing in the theatre. (and if you spin around fast enough your skirt whirls out) :)

Ballroom isn't always prominent on Broadway. Unless you're counting Forever Tango. I associate Broadway dancing with tap. :P

I've heard complaints that it's not really clear why Gere's character has to hide it so much. I haven't seen it yet (no movie theaters here in Podunksville), so I can't judge.
