No, it wasn't a revival, but it did come out around the same time Michael John LaChiusa's version came to Broadway.
I don't know why there's been a lot of hype about it lately...it did not do well at the time it was out, and I guess Idina fans were attracted to the album because she is on it, so it's starting to get recognition now.
