Don't sing "Light My Candle" to a fireman.

Don't sing "Nothing" from Chorus Line in acting class.

Don't sing "Not for the Life of Me" or "Take Me or Leave Me" at a wedding.

Don't sing "Drink With Me" at an AA meeting.

Don't sing "Loathing" to your new roommate. (Note: or let your father tell your new roommate how perfectly the song fits the two of you the day you move in...WHY does he hate me???)

it would be great if you didnt sing 'Singin in the rain' in a drought.

"Loathing?" I assume you're talking about a song from Wicked- but it's called "What is This Feeling?"

don't sing "Thank goodness" at a funeral

and don't sing "i know the truth" when your best friend is getting married
