Posted: 8/7/04 at 2:07pmSEE MAMA MIA! I'm from Boston and I NEVER see touring shows however, we were supposed to see a concert that got cancelled so we decided to do student rush to Mama Mia...it was SO GOOD. It's at the Colonial until the 27th I think and if you're a student they have $25 (or 35 I don't really remember) rush seats.
Some guy: You looked great!

I've got 4 or 5 listings for Boston on my web site although Playbill probably has more.

Posted: 8/7/04 at 4:30pmSHEER MADNESS. It's an audience participation improv comedy show. I've never seen it (always wanted to). It is supposedly hilarious. It's been playing in Boston for a VERY long time (at the Charles Street Playhouse, I believe...same place as BLUE MAN GROUP).

Since you're going to be in the area, here is a shameless plug for my theater company's show. We're doing ONCE ON THIS ISLAND at the Boston Center for the Arts theater on Tremont Street. August 19-21, $8.00 for students, $10.00 for adults.
I own a theatre company for college students. We put together the show completely on our own (direct, music direct, costume/set design, etc.) If you're looking for a good cheap show, I recommend it! PM me if you want more info.

I saw SHEAR MADNESS when I was in Boston ttwo years ago. It's a hilarious comedy with a certain amount of audience participation. Yes, it's in the the same theater complex as Blue
Man Group at the Charles Street Playhouse.
You'll love SHEAR MADNESS.

Posted: 8/8/04 at 9:52amthat sounds good too...maybe I talk my dadinto seeing that instead of going whale watching and taking historic walks.
#19If you've not seen Shear Madness go see it
Posted: 8/8/04 at 8:15pmit's still funny after all this time and in a little theater...very homey and comfortable. It's always great and it's an evening of very light entertainment with a local cast.
