lately ive been having a dilemma cuz my dance/acting/singing lessons are getting verrry expensive. I'm thirteen years old goin on 14, and im gettin to feel guilty about the amount of money my parents are spendin on me. My friend told me she sent out babysitting flyers that said she was tryin to raise money for her school trip to italy and she got $400 in 2 months!!!....wat do u think if i send out a flyer saying i need $ for my performing arts classes?

Uh, just donations? Or do you intend to actually babysit or do some kind of work? Nothing wrong with seeking employment, though I think you have to be at least 14 for a legit job.

As in donations? Not a good idea. You're old enough to babysit and save some money to contribute towards your lessons.

I babysit a lot. you don't have to put that indformation on your posters, but what would be better would be to take CPR classes and other courses on child care. if you have time to spare babysitting can be rewarding and pay well. But not all the jobs you get will be dream situations. Good luck!

nonono not donations, i would babysit for the money and i've taken the babysittin course at teh redcross, but the only reason i would say that on my flyer is to make them b like "ohohohoh she needs moneey poor girl.." lol

I'm impressed that at 13 you want to take on that responsibility.

I'm not sure that's the way to go. You should advertise why you would be a good babysitter, because what they mostly care about is whether their kids are in good hands. Let them know that you want to babysit because you like kids and would be good at it, not because you need money.

Extra Advice- if you are having issues with money and paying for your lessons, there may be scholarships out there to help pay for your lessons--so you should do research and ask questions because that could help a lot!
Also- If you have academic subjects that you are particularly good at, or you are a good student in general, you can tutor or add tutoring as an aspect of your baby-sitting skills on a poster.
Good luck!
