ticket scamming question

Hi,

So I got a pal box Hamilton seats as a special gift at the box office, and she was so excited she posted a picture of the tickets on social media where you can clearly see the bar code (she took it down but it was up for 2 days.) Can a scammer duplicate the tickets from seeing the bar code? Someone on here said that once. Thanks so much for the help guys and I hope everyone has a great holiday season.

Thanks so much for your reply! I wasn't sure if it mattered who had the original ticket or who scans in first. It's such a bummer that such a question has to be asked.

I would do what everyone else is saying. Usually they never mind giving you new tickets (like if you deleted an email with e-tickets and so on) and would especially replace them with the type of situation you're in. The staff at Hamilton has been ringing up so many duplicate tickets with the same barcode and fraudulent tickets that it's become routine. They want to avoid the situation as best as possible. I'm sure they'll understand.

Thats exactly what I did last week. I bought a ticket on StubHub and was really afraid that it could be fake/duplicate. To make sure, I was there really early and was the first in line. In the end, everything went fine and I really enjoyed the show :)

Good thing to do is write the tickets you have with row seat etc. Once misplaced them.
