The cast of [title of show], the original musical that will open on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre in July, will host the 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards on Sunday, May 18, at 9:00 PM, it was announced by Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the awards ceremony, and William Wolf, President of the Drama Desk.
The awards ceremony will be held in the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. It will be webcast live by TheaterMania.com (www.theatermania.com), the nation’s leading online source for theater information and tickets. It is also expected to be broadcast live in its entirety on satellite radio’s XM - 28 On Broadway.
“We are delighted that the five member cast of [title of show] will be hosting this year,” said Blume. “They are a multi-talented group of performers whose zany sense of humor and sharp wit will add a new dimension to the awards ceremony. An Off-Broadway success in 2006, this clever musical will come to Broadway this year in July. Having the cast of [title of show] as host, will make for a fresh and unique program.”
