So, I'm not really all that good at writing reviews, but someone asked me to let them know what I thought so here I go.
My initial thought is actually a question. Why is this show closing? The theater was full and everyone was constantly laughing.
I didn't know any of the cast before this, but I am now in love with most of them, Heidi and Hunter especially. Loved their voices and found them both to be hilarious. Not to say that Jeff and Susan weren't good but something about Heidi and Hunter . . .
Susan actually spent most of the show barefoot . . . is this normal? I felt bad for her, it looked like her shoes were hurting her feet!
I bought the cast recording . . . am listening to it now and laughing at everything all over again.
aha! it's nice to see another person who is obsessed about this show as much as we are :)
I got excited just seeing the title of this thread. This show is awesome!
Susan was barefoot for most of the show I saw too so I'm thinking that's just how it is and/or part of her costume.
Oh I would love it if they extended it just a little longer. I will be in NYC at the end of October and would have loved to see it!
Ok, so we all love it . . . so why is it closing? I mean I know some shows are just only there for so long, but can't it stay a little longer?
I thought it was funny seeing someone barefoot on stage. Maybe she just doesn't like shoes?
I'm pretty sure that during the interview Jeff and Susan did on NPR they said that the theatre has its new 06-07 season of shows starting so they have to leave. I'm so glad they were able to come back for the summer though.
Maybe she liked to rehearse barefoot so she's barefoot in the show too. It fits with everything.

The next show is coming into the Vinyard on Oct 14, so [tos] has to close. But I dont think this is the last we'll see of the show.
I hope not. My sister kept asking me, "Why is this closing? Is it moving? It can't just be closing." But I hadn't heard anything. It really was a fun, entertaining show. Would be hard to believe that it would just close and be done.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for them!

[title of show] looks good .
i really want to see it ..
[title of show] is AMAZING. it's more than good. it's an experience!
Finally getting to see it on Sat! Heidi and I used to work together as singing waiters at Ellen's Stardust Diner - a past we're both extremely proud of.
Heidi worked at Ellen's? That's awesome! She must've shattered windows with that powerhouse voice of hers.
We were part of the opening wait staff. And yes, until we started refusing to sing between slinging fries and egg creams, she put all the other singers to shame.
That is awesome! I was there once and I kept wondering where everyone singing would be in a year or two or less.
Such a good show. Definitely go see it.
What is Ellen's Diner?
Ellen's Stardust Diner is a diner in the city where the waiters sing and perform while you're eating.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Rae! :)
It definitely holds a place in my heart.
I <3 Susan! lots! and both times I saw it she spent quite a bit of time without her shoes. If you want to see a show with a lot of bare feet then go see The Times They Are A-Changin'. The ensemble goes without, understandably, since they are dancing like crazy, but Michael Arden is barefoot for the whole thing (to the best of my memory.)
Anyway...I digress. I wish [tos] could stay around longer, especially since my friend hasn't gotten the chance to see it yet, and probably won't! I wouldn't mind catching it one more time too. If only I wasn't so poor!
YAY [tos] love! Keep it comin'! Love this show.
So...who else is going to the final show?
It's gonna be fierce, kids!
("that's the first time I said 'fierce'! And that's the second time!!")
*raises hand*
I enjoyed the CD, but I will probably never listen to it again.
It's cute, and the theatre jokes are aumsing (once), but I just have absolutely no desire to pay money to see this. I don't know why. Convince me otherwise!
well they do actually use different jokes in the show than on the CD. well some are the same but not all... plus they are just so adorable on stage. :)
but i hadn't heard the music prior to seeing it, though
They definitely update/change the jokes. My sister noticed that there was one about the Wedding Singer and was like, "Wait, how can that be in there. Didn't Wedding Singer just open recently?" There are definitely jokes that are different/new from the cd.
I think it is absolutely worth seeing. Very funny.
Would love to see it again but don't know if I will get to.
Hmm . . . Ellen's Stardust Diner . . . sounds interesting. May have to check it out the next time I'm in the city.
