I have never seen this before. Patti Lupone kept coughing . In the middle of a scene, all the sudden an arm comes out from backstage with a cup of water.. Patti goes backstage and comes back on with the water, drinks it, looks up, giggles and then they go on with the rest of the scene... I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!

Believe it or not, I find that that sort of thing kind of fits with the set-up of the show. It all seems very vaudevillian (is that a word?)due to a number of elements so random hands popping up with water seems appropriate.

And like anyone is gonna tell Patti she can't have any water.
