playbill.com has an article announces the tony perormances. I like the new idea of having the stars of the show introduce their show's perfomance via a video segment.

Someone wanna tell me why Barbara Walters is one of the presenters!? What has she ever done for Broadway?

The Tony's is going way too Hollywood lately.

I hope they're not doing all of the musical performances at once like they did 2 years ago. It was so depressing to see everything performed in the beginning, and then have nothing to look foward to except the awards themselves.

Yeah, that would really suck. But the songs they picked are good, I guess. I'm really looking forward to Rose's Turn. I am happy with this year's picks, and I like the Billy Joel/ Movin' Out idea. I am also happy that HAirspray is performing "You Can't Stop the Beat". It is a great, high energy song that involves the whole cast.

I love "Rose's turn" but I would rather see "Everything's Coming Up Roses" performed, since Tammy and John are their for that one, and they were both nominated along with Bernadette. But I guess since Bernadette performs "Rose's Turn" with such emotion, they would rather have that.
