Well I promised myself I wouldn't be bitter...but I saw this title of this thread and couldn't resist. I work in Jersey City as therapist in a high school. And do to impending budget cuts..I'm not going to be at the first day of school because the program I work for is probably going to be axed! I guess I'm one of those city workers who made too much money. Oh well...
That is terrible, Eric. Maybe you could replace Harvey or Bernadette. Maybe you could get a job with the touring company of Millie, I think Julianna could use some counsiling.
First day at school? I got trapped in the school's antiquated elevator for 45 minutes. Could this be a harbinger of what to expect for the rest of the school year?
That really stinks DP. The elevator in my school hasn't been updated since the school opened (about 45 years ago) and they're just doing it now. Takes up a lot of room in the hallways...grrr....

I'm taking drama, politics, English and German, we only do four at 16-18.
The suckiest part is making new friends, I just can't be bothered. Anyway, it's not been too bad, I've talked to some cool people and some proper losers. One guy was wearing a We Will Rock You t-shirt (British musical based on the songs of Queen) and I started a bit of debate because I think it's crap and he likes it.
Another bad part is getting up early, I've been off school since May 16th so it's been hell!
my college schedule is pretty nice this year, only three days of classes but i gotta agree about the getting up early thing being a pain to get used to again.
