two fairy tales lyrics

So my English teacher told us to bring in song lyrics to analyze tomorrow. And I am deadset on using "Two Fairy Tales", which was cut from Little Night Music, but I can't find the lyrics. If someone could post them that would be AMAZZINNGGGGG- thanks :)

I don't have them but they are printed in full in the booklet that comes wit the RCA 3 CD set A Collector's Sondheim (P.57-59)

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Eh, I couldn't get it in time, so I went for laughs and chose "Out for Blood"....

I once copied them out, line by line, in longhand, on a legal pad.

But you couldn't be bothered. You couldn't cut-and-paste them, so you did another song?

Lazy bastard.

It can be hard to understand every word as you're listening, especially with songs as complex and intricate as Sondheim's, and I tried Googling when the OP posted, but the only website I could find that had the lyrics was down. Granted, I didn't look for very long before moving on to something else, but it still isn't quite as easy as you're insinuating, PJ.

Of course it isn't easy. It's SONDHEIM. Sondheim isn't easy.

I also memorized Lucy/Jessie when I was 15.

If you couldn't be bothered to write out the lyrics, you didn't DESERVE to do the number.

He was just going to bring them in for what sounds to be easy English assignment, sheesh. Aside from that, for an *English assignment*, it'd probably be advisable to have the official lyrics, not lyrics you copied from hearing the song- particularly a very lengthy, wordy, and complex song such as "Two Fairy Tales"... something that would be easily mistake-prone.

Though for future reference, the lyrics are printed in the published Night Music libretto... arguably an easier source than A Collector's Sondheim. Like the other Sondheim show librettos published by Applause, it contains a lovely appendix of cut material, production designs, etc.

"Didn't DESERVE to do the number." Geez.

Hahaha, Pal Joey- I fear/adore that I will probably be just like you in terms of Sondheim= Religion when I am at your age/experience in Sondheimism. However, I wrote all of Henrik's lyrics when I realized it was ten and I still had three hours of homework left... sorry for disgracing you ;p. And the assignment turned out to take only fifteen minutes of class time. Shame two fairy tales lyrics
