What really bothers me is that MJB actually has a really good voice. The woman can sing. So why all the vocal gymnatics? She's got style and can really deliver a song. It seemed as though her manager said, "I don't care if these are the Tony's, go out there and really rip it up like you would on the MTV Awards."

Posted: 6/7/04 at 4:08pmI wanted to see the technical awards instead of those 2 performances. I thought they weren't that great, and the awards matter more (after all, this is an awards show!). Clips from the plays may have been a little more appropriate, as well. I understand that they were trying to boost ratings, but it didn't work.
