This seems like a little bit of a tired topic, but I'll add a full scale Sweeney revival with Bernadette Peters as Lovett.
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

A new Sweeney tour would be nice. And I've always wanted a Scarlet Pimpernel tour, though I know that will never happen in a million years.

qolbinau, I second that
Schmerg, I would love to see either of those myself.
But... to quote the SNL skit: "Isn't it time we revivied MISS SAIGON?"

I agree that there should be a Mermaid tour-- I think there's a huge number of people who'd love to see it who can't make it to New York, and it's not the type of thing that New York residents really like!

There was a Little Shop of Horrors tour 4 years ago, and I don't think there would be anything different about it now, as much as I love watching Audrey II sing and eat people. She was phenomenal in her last incarnation.
I second Beauty and the Beast and Sweeney Todd starring Bernadette Peters and would like to add to the list:
City of Angels
The Secret Garden
Once on this Island
My Favorite Year (I think it deserves another shot)

Lorraine: That depends on what it is.
Dean: I think you're really really pretty.
Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

misto-there's hope for FAVORITE YEAR. Ahrens and Flaherty said in Pittsburgh recently that they're focusing a lot of their efforts on revising the show to do another major run in the future.

"And I've always wanted a Scarlet Pimpernel tour, though I know that will never happen in a million years."
Pimpy did tour for a LONG while back in 2000-2001 (Almost virtually right off of Broadway)...the tour (SP 4.0) was fantastic with Sills in it, but Pateri or whomever was his replacement made the tour a little... not as good! DB Bonds was a great Percy too (who is currently in the Legally Blonde National Tour), even better than Pateri in my opinion. I would definately welcome a SP 5.0 Tour though! I'd love it if the songs "When the Rain Falls" and "High Time" could be placed in .. but I don't know where exactly they'd fit! And maybe it could work as a non-eq tour...I don't believe Pimpy ever switched over to Non-Eq.
Others:
Jekyll & HYDE in another revised format
Dracula, the musical with full-out "rock" orchestrations (Wildhorn's), such as the German production/cast recording..!
and lastly:
Jane Eyre -- did that ever tour? Beautiful show (although a tad boring..), and used to hear news of a new "Chamber"-version of the show; can't wait to see what happens with that!

Oh, I know that, silly! I just meant a revival tour. Which would never happen, because I doubt that show will ever be revived on Broadway. I should've made that clearer, though.
The idea of a chamber tour of Jane Eyre sounds nice. "Beautiful show {although a tad boring)" certainly sums up my opinion as well.

I miss Sweet Charity, Hairspray, Xanadu and The Wedding Singer.
I know there is probably no chance we will see a revival of any in the near future (or ever with some of the shows), but I loved them all!

JCS is still a little hot right now, what with the ongoing Ted Neeley tour and the Gospel version in Atlanta, but maybe one could get the best of both worlds on Broadway by signing Neeley for Jesus (let's face it, it would actually bring in a huge audience, he's big with middle-aged women...do a search for Tedheads some time--plus, he's one of the few Jesus' whose longevity in the show has gone mostly unquestioned by its fans), and then transferring the rest of the Gospel version with him to Broadway.

I was recently talking to someone about how we thought a revival of Crazy for You would go over right now. I know it's only been, I think, 12 years since the show closed but I think it's a show we could really use right now. It's such a happy show. The kind you go into and forget your problems for a few hours. I'd love to see it back.
