Fame is good for teenagers, but a lot of the content is questionable for younger kids (drugs, sex, profanity, etc).
i'd suggest shopping through the mti jr catalog

Honk! is also good. It's a musical version of The Ugly Duckling.
Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat (This was originally meant to be performed by kids)
i'll second honk!- good for adults too
Honk
Guys & Dolls
Into the Woods
The Sound of Music
Godspell
The Me Nobody Knows
You're A Good Man Charlie Brown
Snoopy
Bye Bye Birdie
Grease
Babes in Arms
The Wiz
Little Shop of Horrors
The Fantasticks
Merrily We Roll Along
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Anything Goes
broadwaystar2b, I can't help but question several of the items on your list.
Grease?
Into the Woods?
Little Shop of Horrors?
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum?
I'm just saying...
This is reminiscent of "Kidz Bop"
Go to www.broadwayjr.com.
It comes with a whole kit (scripts, full-orchestra cds and more). Their selections are great.
BESIDES THE ONES THERE, THERE ARE:
Peter Pan
Music Man
Wicked (after the script comes out)
Rodger and Hammerstiens Cinderella
Sound Of Music
Little Shop (plant will be hard to make)
The Wiz

I did Grease when I was 10.
We cut out A LOT.
Please don't do Grease for little kids; it ruins the show.
Once on This Island could be pulled off with kids.

Seussical could be fun with kids, but I echo the broadway jr. sentiments.
If you are interested in Little Shop, there are tons of places that rent plants.
FF, ienjoybeingagirl3 said she/he was gonna work with teenagers.
I did Grease when I was 13 and LSOH when I was 14 and have seen plenty of high schools and middle schools do Into the Woods (both real and jr. versions). As for Forum, I had a friend who did it in the 6th grade.
I was gonna put Chorusline down too, but that's a bit raunchy for more conservative taste buds. Plus, those kids better DANCE.
Isn't "Kidz Bop" that CD that takes songs from the radio, edits them, and then re-dubs them over with children? I hate those stupid commercials (they interupt Degrassi!)
little shop and children... not perfect together
particularly the nitrus inhaling, girlfriend beating sadist of a dentist
I was Chiffon when I was 14.
Besides, he dies in the first Act anyway. Justice was served.

I don't want to totally exclude the ones that are below 13 though. I want to integrate everyone.
I repeat my suggestion:
JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.
The younger kids can be the many background people who sing all the big chorus numbers. You can put younger and older kids as the brothers.
the theatre i want to direct for did joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat a year ago. i would love to but its too soon

I'd do Little Shop. Its fun, has great songs, great characters, and a great script. And if you can rent a plant, then dont even hesitate to not do it. The only thing is you might have to add a chorus and a few lines for small roles you can make up (even though its illegal. But you wont get caught so dont worry.)
I still think that it wouldn't work for Forum or Into the Woods.
And that's not completely about content.
Sondheim is tricky stuff.
Little kids wouldn't be able to do it, and I would question the ability of several teens as well.
But some of the other suggestions are good.

The R&H Cinderella: some lovely music, a big cast (always good at a school).
Debbie Does Dallas?...
Into the woods, Your a good man charlie brown, charlie and the chocolate factory, Charlettes Web, Winnie the pooh, wizard of oz, cinderella
I had seen a High School production once of "Mary Poppins"...it was fun. Great show I think for the ages you're looking at.
