re: re: whats the most times you have ever seen a show and what was it?

The new revival of Gypsy -8 or 9 times (I can't remember, but it's definitely not more than 9)

Thoroughly Modern Millie 2x
Annie Get Your Gun 2x
42nd Street 2x
Mondo Drama (in the Village) 6X
Bernadette and the Butcher of Broadway 2x
Beaty and the Beast 2x
Forbidden Broadway 3x (but it's always a little different, so that's worth seeing at least once a year)

And everything else that I have seen has been a one time deal. re: re: whats the most times you have ever seen a show and what was it?

I have a feeling I'll beseeing Wicked a few more times though. re: re: whats the most times you have ever seen a show and what was it?

Well, let me ask a question. If I see the same play--as far as script/music but each time a different set of actors, actresses, does that count as seeing the same play? Since each persons interpretation is a tad different from each others wouldn’t each stand as a different play? Technically speaking?

If that's the case, I haven't seen any play more than once.

DofB5-

You've had different theatrical experiences seeing the same written work performed. The play refers to the written work, which is constant. The performance changes every time, and can never be duplicated. You've seen the same play multiple times, all right.

I saw the original MY SISTER EILEEN about 75 times. Twice in its entirety and the other 73 or so because I was appearing in PAL JOEY, and since we were playing next to each other, we were able to slip out the Barrymore stage door and into the Biltmore when we were not performing. Equity never found out (lucky us!!!!), and Larry Hart used to shepherd us into the Biltmore. Still, after all these years, Shirley Booth gave the greatest comic performance I have ever seen!

That is very true. re: re: whats the most times you have ever seen a show and what was it? I can't even remember the last time I went to the movies? Oh wait, I saw Intolerable Cruelty like a month ago; but that was in NJ, and it was a really bad movie. It made me remember why I go and see live theatre instead. lol

re: re: re: re: re: re: whats the most times you have ever seen a show and what was it?

I've only gotten to Broadway once, but I've seen a lot of shows in community theater and such.

Les Miz--2x
Chicago--3x
Scarlet Pimpernel--2x
Bat Boy--2 1/2x (only saw the 2nd act one of the times)
Rent--2x
Jane Eyre--3x
Oklahoma--2x

I'm sure I've seen other shows more than once, but this is all that comes to mind off the top of my head. Can't wait until I'm done with college and can move to NYC. Then you can bet I'll have seen many shows more than 3 times!
