My parents, 17 year old daughter and myself (44 year old female) are going to NY in November. Should we see Wicked or Lion King?

For either show, though:
Get your tickets ASAP
Because these are the two biggest and most popular shows on Broadway.

If they're not seasoned theatregoers, The Lion King. It's a bit more light-hearted and easy-to-follow, but Wicked is more impressive.

Wicked but it's harder to get tickets to.

well, since i've never seen wicked, i'd have to say The Lion King. I've seen this show twice and i personally love it. that's just my opinion though

WICKED, The lion king is stunning due to costumes and set but the show does not translate well on stage and it kinda boring. i had trouble staying awake (but i did have bad seats ssssooo :) )

It's not easy to get tickets to either though.

Wicked. The best part about Wicked in my opinion is the cleverness of the book - Both your parents and your daughter will obviously be familiar with "The Wizard of Oz", and will be able to appreciate the story...

Wicked. The Lion King is nice to look at, but nothing more. Even though Wicked has obvious weaknesses, it's an enjoyable show with incredibly talented leads. I practically fell asleep during Lion King.

Wicked. But as someone said, get your tickets ASAP because they are sold out untill mid-September. I am not sure about Lion King, but it is also a very difficult show to get tickets to. If all else fails, go see:

42nd Street
Hairspray
Beauty and the Beast (Christy would be gone by then...)
The Producers
Phantom of the Opera

Others can add to the list.

Without a doubt 'Wicked' - over anything, anytime -

The Disney productions are SO over-played and are quite stale - there is no heart in them anymore and it shows through the performances - stay away, they're boring in comparison

I'm unlimited, I am wicked through and through...
