anyone seen live, Bwy or West End? did anything resembling a nat'l tour go out?
it appears that regional theatres are having trouble finding local actresses willing to "drop towel" and i've had a callback for Mrs. R.
How long does she stay rudie nudie? I understand it's thru backlighting, but does the audience really witness the full show? any possibility of some kind of undergarments and the Illusion of nudity?
Even Mallory in City of Angels was wearing a g-string. And a mic-pack taped onto her chest.
I saw the London production with Anne Archer. The towel-drop was not long and dimly lit. Less than a minute, from what I recall. Long enough for the audience to see everything and for a couple of lines of dialogue, but that was about it. You did see everything, though.
My only problem with the show was that the script was too choppy. Scenes ended in very awkward moments and the first act finale occurred one scene too late. It didn't make sense to have the intermission where it occurred and caused an imbalance in the timeline and sequence of events. The sets and lighting were extraordinary, though and it was brilliantly staged. I think it could've been a bigger hit had more attention to the script been paid and the scenes and characters fleshed out a bit more.

its full frontal, but its very dimly lit. theres also a somewhat lengthy sequence where she's in bed with ben (also naked).

There is a tour right now starring Morgan Fairchild.
Saw it in NY with Kathleen, Jason, and Alicia. Not very good. Kathleen was fine as Mrs. Robinson, but Jason was just bland as all hell. Alicia didn't know what she was doing up there.
I also saw it and I agree 100% with Melissa...Kathleen was pretty good but Jason and Alicia were just out of their league. As for your question...as other's have mentioned, yes there is full frontal nudity that is seen for a few moments as well as moments in bed a few scenes later.
It's blink-and-you'll-miss-it nudity. Don't be expecting "Frankie and Johnny..."

i saw it, i wouldnt hold out for being allowed to wear underwear in the scene, cuz it would be noticeable and just wouldnt make sense unless you get into bed and take it off then but that would be reworking the scene which youre probably not supposed to do.
I saw it with the original cast, and I really really loved it. It obviously was no great work of theatre, but it was a very enjoyable production, and I laughed a lot - that's rare for me in the theatre. I definitely loved it.
