why are most of the tony threads spring awakening hate threads? even when uo until a few days ago we were all contributing to the spring awakening love thread?

Can, can I have it?

Because it is awful and won WAY too many awards....not to be harsh or anything

Maybe people don't think it's that great and deserved all the awards it won?

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

WHY?

won't you put your thoughts into the title of the thread?

Oh, yea....

Might as well fill the board with more crap.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

No hate from me, Spring Awakening and all the other winners, and nominees were very deserving of their nominations/awards, and the Tonys were so fun!

Ok, since I have been so positive, I have to say something negative, I didn't enjoy Hugh Jackman's hosting, so the no-host thing, works for me.

I'm a fan, so I'm definitely biased, but the whole happiness I had for SA winning has been ruined by these threads. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, so it's not my place to say anything for them, but it's just sad I guess because you can go anywhere without seeing an SA hate thread. I don't think anyone has started hate threads for any other of the nominated shows.

"exactly what i meant in another thread"

"I would just like to say to everyone on this board...
THE TONY"S ARE JUST AN AWARD SHOW PRESENTED BY PRODUCERS TO AWARD SHOWS WITH a "HONOR" (look at wicked 100% capacity no tony) and to gain national exposure...

can we all just calm down. spring awakening is not the death of broadway.

Broadway is alive and well.. there are many hard working men and women who will make sure that excellent shows will always grace the boards..

So the incessant whining on the BWW board has just got to stop...

i am at work all day reading post after post

"grey gardens was robbed in a way only comprable world genocide"

"congratulations to spring awakening the worlds greatest musical and to anyone who doesent think so... NANANANAHHHHHH!!!!! (WE WON BETCHES)"

"spring awakening is the anti-christ that will both destroy broadway and the inner trenches of my soul"

"raul losing is a sign of the death of my first born child... i am now planning a ninja assault of DHP"

The people on this board have honestly proven themselves to be more dramatic than the actors..

sorry i just had to rant!!"
