It was my first Broadway show and some of the design choices were just strange. I also didn't like the book

Gvendo, that made me literally laugh out loud.
I always thought that "She's In Love" sounded like a rejected Little Shop of Horrors number set to new lyrics. Hands down the worst of the material.
