So i saw wicked today, matinee, and Megan was Galinda. She was fantastic, absolutely adorable. She had everyone cracking up. Idina was great as well. I went for her. She was gasping after every line and to sing was visibly such a strain for her but she did it. She was amazing but I felt so bad. After every sentence she gasped. She truly is amazing. Joey was great as well. I felt bad for him..in As long as you mine he has to kiss idina-germs and all. Anyways after I actually went to the stage door, first time and Megan came out. She was very nice. I got a picture and autograph. During popular when they do the toss, toss thing megan was so funny. But, when idina imitated her it was hilarious! Megan started to speed up so Idina did as well and looked like she was possessed. It was to funny. My seats were left side, row EE. Pretty good seats. I didn't know Glinda gets strapped in. And i got to really see the thing that holds Idina up when flying. I had a great time. So i hear JLT is sick hope she feels better. Idina really needs to rest that voice. Even when she spoke, she would gasp, but once she would belt she would force it out and it would sound great.

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

yep, special schedule. i guess lotto might have been easy today. When the show was over there were extremely long lines. Im guessing they were for lotto and cancellation.

yea. she was gasping so much that you could basically cue it in. it made you want to take a breath. Still she was somehow able to singing amazingly. That takes skill.

Kim...there is another thread going on discussing the thing that holds Idina up and the platform. You may want to find it and join in. It's pretty lively.

Wow....I have been hearing about all this gasping Idina has been doing lately. I saw it this past April and she didn't gasp at all. She slightly cracked once during "Defying Gravity" but still blew it out of the box. She must be getting tired. And it sounds like maybe she has a cold these days.

Just an aside...If you haven't, you may want to listen to Chatterbox where Kristin talks about performing in pain from the neck injury she sustained during the San Fran run and the night her standby and understudy could not go on so she did the show on muscle relaxers. The way she tells it is a riot!

The gasping isn't illness. She started doing it in June. Saw the show various times since then and it gets worse and worse. I was there 2 weeks ago and the gasping was just unbearable.

nice icon chip. i know the gasping isn't a sickness but she is sick. You could hear it when she "sniffed" haha if that makes sense.
Uncage- i look for the chatterbox on that. I love chatterbox it's so funny. I love hearing them tell stories and such. Seth is so funny.
