Ahhhhh.... but check out the new book "Son of a Witch".... I'm about a quarter of the way through, and the Scarecrow is going back to take care of some "unfinished business"... so I think it's all gonna play out like the play.

Greg likes the changes in the musical. Also, wicked has been in the top 5 paperbacks for a few months now. The musical made him lol

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have read the book if it wasn't for the musical. He did express approval for the musical and even dedicates "Son of a Witch" to the cast and crew (he specifically says names and stuff)

I also read in a review that people were left hanging in the end of Son of a Witch, and that it would be ok if they made the series a trilogy. I think the musical must have given him some ideas....I bet the books will lead up to the same ending as the musical....
