Went (and lost) this morning. HUGE crowd...at least 200 people.

A note: they have done 6 shows in Minneapolis thus far. Julia has missed three of them. Sebastian has missed four. Nice.

However...Victoria Matlock is an excellent stand-by Elphaba.

From what I've heard, you can never really predict when Murney will be in or out. Since it is a one-show day I bet you'll have a good chance of seeing her.

Even if you don't, her standby is quite strong. I'm seeing it again tonight and while I would love to finally see Julia live on stage I won't be disappointed to see Matlock again.

You are all lucky you could get tickets, or have a chance of going to the lotto. I live an hour away, so it's not easy. But, My voice teacher went last night and loved it! She said Julia Murney was amazing as Elphaba. She also said she enjoyed the story much more than the book. I'm sad I can't go, but I'm happy I get to go to Chicago to see it.

Is Julia sick again? She had laryngitis in Atlanta and Detroit. It's not like her to miss that many. Hope she's ok.

Poor Julia! That's probably killing her.

Sad to hear Julia isn't on much, but if you see the Fiyero understudy, count yourself lucky.

There are many, but I saw a Fiyero understudy (I can't remember his name... Nicholas maybe?) the first night I saw the show in Atlanta, and I loved him way more than Sebastian, who I saw the second night.
