I don't even refuse to see Eden, even though I have not been impressed by anything I heard. You need to give everyone a chance. I can't wait to see Jen's Glinda. Also, Idina isn't tall, either, making Jen seem even taller. You can see the OBC on the official fan site, still.

So does this mean that the original Broadway cast recording will have to be updated to reflect the current cast? I mean the CD is publicity. What other stupid rules does equity have???

JLT looks fabulous in the role. I do wish they had kept the older pictures up. I like the older pictures more just because I think I liked what pictures were taken with that one. The one where Elphie and Glinda are in front of the house after the tornado. The one where Elphie is giving Glinda the book. They don't seem to have really gotten any dramatic photos involving the two leads.

Wicked in rehearsal says updated gallery coming soon. The pics at the top of the page from the show are new. It looks just like it used to, until you open it up and see that KC is gone, NLB is gone, JG is gone. The new castmembers have replaced all the old photos.

Regarding that publicity rule, im PRETTY sure that pictures, billboards, names, and ect of the departed cast member has to be taken down in 24 hrs after the performer left. when i say pictures, i mean the pictures outside of the theatre or around town. I am pretty sure thats how it works....dont shoot me if im wrong.

yeah, that's what I thought, but I'm not sure either. Equity has many a strange rule. The recording is an entirely different thing, not subject to rules like that.

Just my two cents, but I was in the city yesterday, and every single poster advertising "Wicked" had JLT's name over the title with Idina's. I haven't seen the pictures outside the theater but I'm sure they have JLT, Joey McIntyre, and George Hearn in them.

well the marquee (sp?) for rent also features photos of the obc on it so i'm not so sure...not to mention the poster for millie never changed when susan egan took the role

On siteforrent, it is all OBC, which makes me doubt the existence of an Equity rule. Wicked may have just wanted to change.

I've honestly never really seen a show change all of its publicity stuff before. Perhaps it is one of the new Equity arrangements. Maybe it was just in JLT's contract or something. I also thought it was odd that when I saw Lura Bell as Glinda instead of having just the usual insert in the program the entire main page (with the cast names and such) was redone with Laura Bell in place of Kristin Chenoweth. It was almost like Kristin didn't exist and not that LBB was just subbing for the week. Odd...

maybe its just how this production has chosen to handle its publicity... I do believe playbill.com has the original pictures on their site tho

I dont think pictures on the websites have anything to do with equity...but thats just what i think.

One nice thing about them casting JLT is that they went for talent vs. type
I loved her in Urinetown. Hope her run goes smoothly.
