will broadway on broadway be on TV?

the site says there will be TV cameras, but it doesnt say if it will be televised live, taped, or not shown at all. does anyone know if it will be televised and on what channel?

I really hope it will be on tv, or available to watch online!
there's no way I'll be able to see it otherwise. if anyone knows anything please post!

it's usually taped and shown on the next tuesday or something. i'm pretty sure they're doing that this year too.

It has been for the past few years, so it probably will be this year. But I think it's only shown in the NY area.

I have a friend who lives in NY and he says that it will be shown on the 20th of September on NBC

As usual, the people outside of NY have zero opportunity to see the show either live or on TV.

I don't understand- is it not possible for people outside of New York to like Broadway? Is there a much higher concentration of them in the NY area? (well, probably)

Sure, it's possible! But it's harder to get your Broadway fix when it's never televised. We get tours...but that's after the fact. Even us die-hard fans have trouble keeping up with what's going on on Broadway unless we can come up with the money to travel out there. (Though moving to Boston has admittedly made this easier for me...)

I was being sarcastic. I myself am outside of New York. Atlanta, actually. So I completely understand. It just makes me mad that they don't show it anywhere else. Other people outside of NY like Broadway too, ya know.

NBC in San Diego broadcasts Broadway on Broadway except they don't usually air it until November or December.

Well I taped it last year on a tuesday after it was done and it was ony channel 4? Im in NY and they definitely televise it not live though and its in one of the lower channels
