For those who are interested in getting in on the lottery ...
I actually went by the theatre late afternoon to pick something up two weeks ago and the Tuesday lottery line was pretty short. I was actually kind of shocked to see only about 25-30 people standing around when it came time to sign up for the lottery tickets.
I think I went by there one Sunday and the line was so long you couldn't even find the end ... or see the end of it when you came up on the theatre.
Anyone else have any other comments?

i was reading an article on yahoo about Wicked and how its CD sales have surpassed that of any other broadway show in its first week. RENT who held the current record with like 195,000 or something. after idina leaves the show in january Wicked will not start to spiral downhill. the show is a smash, mainly among young teeny boppers. but regardless of what type of crowd Wicked attracts, it still and will for some long time, attract some sort of crowd. there's a message in this show for anyone. and 1.6%...? come on! are we really creating threads over THAT?
and as far as what they said about The Producers goes...that show doesn't appeal to a younger audience, mainly adult ones with it's humor. Wicked appeals to a much larger spectrum with it's "pop" like music, comedy, cuteness, and the message it gives. it's a very well-rounded show.

Posted: 9/22/04 at 3:43ami guess you couldn't tell by my post, but i am not concerned. i simply wondered the reason. and it's no wonder i was curious, after practically never being below 100% i wondered if perhaps idina missed several shows or something. i apologize for not also mentioning shows that are continually on a low gross rate. i also find it hilarious (no sarcasm), that people get yelled at for posting things that are remotely familiar to another post. i can understand if EVERY post is about wicked which sometimes it seems it is, but come on. are you that concerned with yelling at people to post about something else? i think that perhaps those are the people who should get a life. not the person who posted about attendence...
