If the show runs 3 hours ( as someone else said) this will be the first of others.

Because it was shoehorned into the laboratory scene and had no real reason to be there, other than to remind the audience that Megan Mullally was still in the show. After "Please Don't Touch Me," she pretty much disappears for the rest of Act 1.

ETA: I'm hoping for a trim of "Man About Town," because it's redundant and unnecessary. The show runs 2 1/2 hours, not including intermission. Updated On: 8/25/07 at 05:19 PM

Wasn't The Producers the same way? And they ended up cutting half an hour of material and still ended up on Broadway with a two and a half hour show?

If I'm not mistaken, THE PRODUCERS was billed at 2 hours and 40 minutes (including one fifteen min. intermission)

Yes, the song titles are great, but not all of the songs are fantastic. Some are definitely forgettable. I agree about "Man About Town" being redundant... there was just nothing really going for it. Also, I'm not a huge fan of "The Law," although it's necessary for the story... but eh. It's just not great.

I hope they cut/trim "Join the Family Business." I didn't feel it was essential to the story at all. And, they should keep "Alone." It's about 2 minutes and Megan sounds amazing. It's a pretty funny gag too.
