Hey,
I agree with supportivemom and bwaylvsong, you want to be taken seriously as well as get great work, so professional headshots would be the way to go. The positive too is that once you get a great headshot, you can use it for as long as you need to.

Hey, you mentioned that you don't have much money right now, but some photographers like me have reduced their pricing due to the economic situation. I used to charge $600 for one hour, and now I do the same for $150. And they are really good headshots. Check out http://www.klausenrique.com/headshots.html
