“‘Maybe Happy Ending,’ opened in November to glowing reviews that transformed it from an unknown commodity to a dark-horse contender for the best musical Tony”

absolutely love seeing those words in the WSJ! Keep the praise company from all avenues please!

You know, before Maybe Happy Ending came along and stole all of my emotional energy, Outsiders was by far the thing I couldn’t stop talking about. I’ve seen it 3 times and still can’t wait to see it again one day. I’m really proud of this show. It meant a lot to me that my favorite book from childhood was so successfully adapted into such a well done and successful musical. Really, kudos to everyone involved!

I've never been more invested in a show's fate than I am for Maybe Happy Ending! Seems I'm not alone haha. Really great week for them, I'm hoping the momentum continues. They still have work to do, but so far, I'll take the win for this week!

The average ticket price has gone up last week compared to the week prior. If anything, know that you’re helping keep the show open by paying full price. I almost never see shows for full price, generally just do rush and lottos. But after seeing this one (with a rush ticket) I immediately went and bought a full price ticket so that 1) I could guarantee a great seat, 2) so my family had an opportunity to experience this beautiful show and 3) because I’m rooting for this show

That’s really shame you gave up, you’re missing out on an absolutely incredible show. I agree the marking is meh, but I would have thought word of mouth and the 10

He still loved the show, but I couldn't help but think - for a show that is struggling, wouldn't it be a better idea to offer better seats for rush? I feel like people who rush shows are some of the people who speak most passionately about it afterwards. They need all the good PR they can get..."

everyone seems to really like the show but pre-purchasing tickets in advance. For example I can get a great orchestra seat for 179 or I can wait and go to TKTS or the box office and hope for something good but I don’t know what to do

pre-purchase for a show this weekend at 179 for a great seat or risk it and go to the box office and end up on a side

I forget where I saw it (possibly reddit), but I think they actually do a have a slot to perform on one of the talk shows for tomorrow (Thursday 11/21). Don't quote me though, I can't even find where I saw that information

If you look at almost any future show, all of the extreme sides are greyed out for every single show, in addition to a few other seats that are directly behind poles. I don't think it's because those tickets have been bought. I think it's because of the sightlines.!"

The Belasco has a maximum capacity of 1,0

I am so confused though, as others have suggested, the capacity number seems odd. MHEseemed to sell out at least three shows this week t

Absolutely go see Maybe Happy Ending! I was so surprised by it. The performance was really incredible and sweet, it’ll undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on you. I already have tickets to see it again next month and am bringing my whole family! I don’t want anyone one I know (or don’t know) to miss out on this wonderful show

I had won 3 days after they opened so not sure if anything will differ at this point. I was placed in right orchestra 2nd row about halfway through the aisle. I don’t remember exact seat number. It was an okay view. I was able to move to an empty seat in row 4 in the aisle closest to the center and that was a much better view

It’s really interesting to me that people are having such a hard time understanding Brody. I generally have a hard time deciphering lyrics, especially when it’s new source material, but I remember when I first saw it in previews thinking to myself how refreshing it was that he was so clear and that I could understand every word he was saying and singing. Is it people who are not from New York / NJ who are having a hard time understanding him?

I haven’t seen the show yet and I generally try to go into shows completely blind. That being said I’m curious to hear the style of music for this one in advance of seeing it. Is there one song you would recommend I listen to that is fairly “representative”?

THE OUTSIDERS to release cast album on May 22

Glad it came around for you!!

I was actually a little thrown by the cartoon watching too initially, it felt pretty random. But then a few days ago I watched the movie for the first time to see how it differed from the musical and they had a scene or two of them watching cartoons, so I guess they pulled from that. I hadn't remembered that detail from the book, but I read it so so many years ago figured maybe I missed it or they just put in their own "family activity"

It does not exist.

I went to the box office a while ago to ask and they told me they don't do standing room or rush, only digital lottery. I sort of laughed and they chuckled back saying they are aware not a lot of tickets are won through the lottery. I asked if they ever sell anything less than $100 and they told me they have $79 tickets but you have to book them a bit far in advance.
