It's not a callback, it's the job. There will be four of us. There were no callbacks and no audition process and I just don't want to be remembered for not being good enough.

pleeease help with your opinions! May 25
2005, 12:17:15 PM
Sent my stuff off for something requiring 'good dancers'. Am not Ann Reinking, but am not Donald Duck either. Now I have been offered it (it's a short film for the BBC) but there's been no audition or anything and I'm extremely worried that I will turn up, be the worst and make a fool of myself in front of potential future employers. Should I go anyway, or should I wait until something else comes along that I am more sure and confident about? Please let me know what you honestly think! Thank-you

To all the people who posted examples of resumes... May 13
2005, 08:00:09 AM
...do you have any suggestions/tips/examples for great covering letters? I know the basics; they should be short, to the point and explain what you can do, but your resume examples were really helpful and I thought maybe you (or anyone out there!) could help here again? I think it's always useful to get other people's views and opinions!

How does Equity work in USA? May 1
2005, 03:32:28 PM
Hi everyone! This is a question from England about Equity. I look through the Playbill.com website and see lots of fantastic Equity auditions, but how do you become a member in the States? Is it only through getting an Equity job and how do you get that if you can't go to the audition? Over here I became an Equity member through my drama scholl but I was wondering how it's done over there, the definitive explanation as I've heard so many conflicting ones! I'd be really grateful if anyone could f

Hello again Apr 7

Hi Anthony! I just wanted to say I think it's very cool that you take time out to chat here! I've just completed a masters in acting musical theatre and am now kind of struggling to find work! I was wondering if there have been times in your career when you've found it hard to get auditions and then to get jobs from those auditions-have you had 'dry spells'? I guess you must have just kept going because look where you are now, but I was wondering if you had any 'words of wisdom' you might want t

vocal exercise cd's+books? Apr 7
2005, 07:30:56 AM
Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone had a really great vocal exercise book and CD that they used and loved and found really helpful? I am looking at a couple at the moment and obviously everyone has different opinions, but if anyone would be willing to share titles of ones they like, I'd be so grateful! I'm a soprano, looking to strengthen my voice. Thanks!

Was wondering if anyone was going to these auditions next week? They're holding them in both New York and London and last years winner was Laura Michelle Kelly. Anyone planning on going or anyone here who tried out last year?

2005, 07:57:06 AM
Hi guys! I have an audition for 'Parade' by Jason Robert Brown in April and have been asked to prepare a song with a story or a narrative within it? I have some ideas but was wondering if anyone had any that they thought would be really good for this? I'd be very grateful for any suggestions! Thanks! xxx

'Little Shop of Horrors'-song key's for 2003 revival? Feb 18
2005, 09:19:09 AM
Hi guys! This is my first post so be gentle with me please! I'm really hoping someone can help me-I need to find out what key 'Somewhere That's Green' from the Broadway 2003/4 revival of 'Little Shop of Horrors' is in? I have a copy of the sheet music but it's far too high, and I need to know what key to transpose it into? If anyone knows I'd be eternally grateful! Thanks so much!
