Sent my stuff off for something requiring 'good dancers'. Am not Ann Reinking, but am not Donald Duck either. Now I have been offered it (it's a short film for the BBC) but there's been no audition or anything and I'm extremely worried that I will turn up, be the worst and make a fool of myself in front of potential future employers. Should I go anyway, or should I wait until something else comes along that I am more sure and confident about? Please let me know what you honestly think! Thank-you!
i do not see how going could possibly hurt. even if you are not the best, it might just mean that you are not completely ready for something like that. but at least you'll get the experience. just practice. you've got time. practice practice practice.
and just have fun. i say go for it. what have you got to lose?
Why did you send your information if you didn't want to go to the call back? It seems to me you thought there was no chance you would get a call but you would feel better having sent it in. Now that you have the chance you are having second thoughts. If it is for the BBC I am sure they won't even notice if you don't show up (there will be hundreds there, I would think, so your pic/res will just go in the shredder.) However, I am also sure there will be MANY who are not as good as you are. So go, for Christ's sake. What do you have to loose? You know you want to!

It's not a callback, it's the job. There will be four of us. There were no callbacks and no audition process and I just don't want to be remembered for not being good enough.
And, if you do suck, they still have to pay you....
Hell I got cast as one of the Ball Room dancing Ghosts in Disney's Haunted Mansion, and I'm not really a dancer.

GO! They really should have had aud. though. Tell us how it went when you get back from it! Break lots of legs!

i dont mean this as an insult, but even if you were the worst dancer in the world they could edit it so you at least look semi decent. film is a magical thing. it is not theatre where EVERYTHING has to be right.
