you New Yorkers dish Shoshanna so much i guess she is a turkey. I have seen a little bit of her talents...and she looks a bit suspect. Oh well at least she is schlepping 8 performances a week and convinciong the tourists. But then god can convince anyone

re: Shelley Duvall Faerie Tale Theatre Nov 7

Shelley Duvall is "LA Joan" to me and nothing else....from "Nashville" of course. Not to mention "3 Women" and "Popeye", she was not a great producer. But i ADORE her. And she is a brilliant actress

re: What's the best song from 'Sunset Blvd.'??? Oct 24
2005, 07:10:59 AM
i like "boy meets girl" I think Sunset Blvd is underrated. I am not a Lloyd Webber fan......except for JCS. Sunset in my opinion is his second best show

Never seen "Latter day"s but I did read the book "Under The Banner Of Heaven" by Jon Krakauer....that was an eye opener. I just have no sympathy for weak characters like Joe

Urban? what is your story? Morman..and yet have images from "Carrie The Musical" on your profile. Do you get the religious fundamentalism criticism that the novel and film and musical project. I don't get you Mormans. They hate gays for a start

re: A question about 'Angels in America' Oct 20

Joe was the most tragic character and he deserved everything he got, he was weak, and self absorbed...perhaps that is the mormon thing. I think Kushner intended to drop his story as he was tragic and an asshole...and a Morman. I think Harper Pitt was the true heroine and the most realistic character in the play.

re: London/Broadway recordings Oct 20
2005, 06:46:33 AM
wow didnt know there was a London "City Of Angels" who was in it? Agree London "Taboo" far superior than Broadway. I am undecided about London/Broadway "Into The Woods", leaning towards London cos of Imelda Staunton. Broadway "Sunset Blvd" better than London, mostly cos of Judy Kuhn....same goes for "Chess". "Les Miz", best version is the Aust cast. As is "Nine" and "Chicago". I like the London revival version of "She Loves Me" over the Broadway. Saw Ruthie Henshall

re: LEA SALONGA TO SING ELPHABA AT HER CARNEGIE CONCERT Oct 20
2005, 06:34:55 AM
If it is true....finally the song will be sung properly. How awesome would it be, wow. Please have it recorded for cd......powers that be. It is the only song from the show that I like, and to have an actress/singer emote it rather than belt it would be fabulous.

re: SWEENEY TODD movie 'in production' Oct 19
2005, 05:07:58 PM
I think Toni Collette would be a perfect Mrs. Lovett. Can Emma Thompson sing? I hate the thought of Russell Crowe, although he would look right I think. I saw Russell in a production or Rocky Horror and he was also in Blood Brothers, he is not a bad singer, but I just don't like him. Hugh Jackman wouldn't be menacing enough.

How do people get away with videoing a whole show. I saw an illegal video of "The Boy From Oz", do they pay off the ushers? It was filmed by a gay male because the footage wobbles excitedly when Hugh takes his shirt off, it was hilarious.
