Hugh Jackman to hold 12-performance concert series at Radio City Music Hall Aug 19
2025, 11:45:09 AM
i saw the show a few months ago and it was ....just ok. Agree that his voice is shot...it just was no longer pleasing to my ear if that makes sense. I kinda thought he was swallowed up by the radio city stage, which was a surprise bc he is a really charismatic performer. I loved his one man show on bway years ago. Maybe he just does better in a more intimate setting. IDK.

huh.
Would it be as much fun as watching Hitler's rise to power, which transpired in theexact same wayas Donald Trump's?
Here's another "fun" exercise. How many of the following actions can be used in reference to Donald Trump (extra points if you can name the a

How'd Cabaret and Sunset Lose So Much $? Aug 14
2025, 04:27:26 PM
I saw Cabaret with Lambert and Cravalho and really enjoyed it...but I remember walking around the theater thinking holy **** what is the daily cash burn rate of this show. So much staff, so many pre show dancers and musicians...just tremendously expensive.

It COULD be a fun show given the honorees. But I fear instead it will just be the DT show -- he will dominate the proceedings, everyone will be g

as with everything T, I fear that the show will devolve into all of the artists genuflecting before him, and less focus on the artists themselves.

Lambert is incredibly underrated (which is a funny thing to say about a guy who has been fronting Queen for a decade). He is an amazing and charismatic live vocalist. I hope there is more theater in his future.

Trump takeover of Kennedy Center Jul 28
2025, 05:33:20 PM
I doubt this will ever go anywhere as it is a frivolous Tump boot licking bill, but the notion is utterly ludicrous. Even if you are a Trump fan who would like to immortalize him in some way, naming an arts center after him is not the way to go. He has NEVER, EVER been a patron of the arts, has never been associated with the arts. He has never done anything to further the arts in any way. Going to a few broadway shows here and there does not make one an arts patron or lover.&

Encores! 2026 Update? Jun 8

City of Angels would be a great choice for encores....I love that show...saw it twice during bway run, bought the cast album...i've always wondered why it has never been revived....but it lends itself well to an Encores treatment imo

Hugh Jackman at Radio City Apr 20
2025, 06:50:40 PM
I found it enjoyable but underwhelming...I thought his solo broadway show tenish(?) years back was far superior. He seemed kind of small on the Radio City stage -- I am going to chalk that up to the production and not him personally as he is certainly charming and charismatic. HIs singing voice has gotten "goatier" as he has aged. I thought he sounded good in Boy from Oz and the Bway solo show. Regardless, i hope he continues the singing and dancing part of his car

Any Johnny Mathis fans? Mar 31
2025, 11:48:08 AM
My mother was obsessed with him. He was always her favorite, had all his albums. When we were kids we would tease her for her hard crush on him. Anyway, as an adult I started taking her to see him whenever he performed in NYC. And he was always fantastic. I understood the crush .....what a voice. what a career. he kept performing as long as he possibly could. well done, sir.

I enjoyed this. It is hard to believe that Linda Lavin was 87 and had cancer when filming this. She looked great, was totally sharp. Seemed at least a decade younger. What a loss
