I LOVED his Broadway album going up, and his duet with Barbra Streisand which sucked me into a bunch of his other albums. I'm saddened by the news that he'll no longer be touring, but glad he's going out on his own terms.
Wonderful singer. Wonderful showman. He will be missed. Fortunate are those who got to see him. I count him and Streisand as two of the all-time greatest.

When I was a teenager, he was our go to guy for romantic music. Chances Are...Wonderful, Wonderful. A real professional...handsome and talented.
I just remembered - I saw him live in a concert about 45 years ago at the Claremont (CA) College Arts Center, when both of us were still young! Saw Jack Jones (another great singer) and Dick Shawn there as well.
I grew up with his Christmas album playing in the house and I still love play it every year. He’s fantastic.

My mother was obsessed with him. He was always her favorite, had all his albums. When we were kids we would tease her for her hard crush on him. Anyway, as an adult I started taking her to see him whenever he performed in NYC. And he was always fantastic. I understood the crush .....what a voice. what a career. he kept performing as long as he possibly could. well done, sir.
What a long, lovely career. My grandparents listened to his recordings with the songs "Heavenly", "Stranger in Paradise", and "Misty" being my very favorite.
