Well I imagine this means they’ll be scheduling a production of Evita (his favorite musical) and we might finally see that musical adaptation of The Apprentice the Weisslers announced a long time ago.

As a closeted gay kid growing up in the Midwest, the Kennedy Center Honors was a yearly glimpse at Broadway royalty; long before YouTube came along. Every year, I would record the sections featuring Broadway, and would play them over and over. The Kander and Ebb tribute remains my favorite amongst them all.  
 

As with everything Trump has “accomplished” in his presidency, nothing is about making lives better for the people who voted for that. It’s only about giving misery to the people who didn’t vote for him.
 

BUT this is great news for Nicole Scherzinger, if she misses out on the Tony Award; as I’m sure she will be an honorary in this year‘s telecast. Hopefully she doesn’t mind sitting between to Kid Rock and John Voight.

Trump will sell the Kennedy Center - he will have to because I doubt there are enough MAGA to fill the place for shows and events that meet his standard.

 

Also, isn't he supposed to busy running the country and cheating at golf so where does he have the time to be the artistic director?

I had an awful feeling something like this was going to happen. :( He and the Kennedy Center pretty much ignored each other in his first term, but this time he's been trying to take over everything in sight, so I was afraid of this.

It presently is scheduled to open 5 September - if they can find actors to perform in it.

We will see if Parade gets cancelled -

disbanding a bipartisan board because you dont like their art and installing yourself as the new chairman is something a silly petty dictator would so, and has now done.

if you didnt enthusiastically vote for kamala (and thats 70% of the country), you voted for this, and its only going to get worse and worse.
