Purple Rain Marquee is Up - Who is in it? Nov 8

The audience is simply too young to care about Prince. The average age of ticket buyers is around 40. This musical is a few decades too late

Anyone see it? You can go up to the box office and say “I’m here for the audition” to get 15 dollar tickets thru tomorrow. Has anyone tried that?

Rush / Lotto - Ticket Allocations Nov 8

It’s all random. They just do it on an ass needed basis now. The performances that need more help give out more lottery seats. If it’s sold out, no chance.

London did Mrs Doubtfire dirty. You had a bonafide hit that was selling out at the box office, and they pushed it out in favor of Just for one day. That show flopped and now they’re putting in Avenue q?? Just bizzare. Doubtfire should still be there. They don’t understand the concept of keep the gravy train going.

JCS Teases Return on IG Nov 8

I saw this on tour, it’s pretty good, but like Evita and Sunset Boulevard, things just start happening with no context or introduction. It’s just kinda like “figure it out.”

Kyoto at the Mitzi Newhouse Nov 8

This has everything I hate about British theater. The satirical thing. The immersive nonsense with characters chattering throughout, taking away from the main lines. The pretentious political subject matter. The sound affects and the screen. The leading man’s cheesy American accent. It’s all so dreadful, don’t see this. I totally agree with the critics. The Brits have lost their touch on doing drama. Sad but true.

I know it might be hard for you to believe, but there’s lots of people who don’t like this Bat Boy. As a matter of fact, I was just at a show last night and a woman behind me was talking about how disappointed she was in it.
