We sat in house left Row F and had no obstruction. The "set" is really all very center and all action takes place in the main part of the stage. I can't imagine either side is obstructed.&nb

I caught the preview tonight. The production is in great shape, and James Corden's big speech brought down the house. Overall a solid production of a play that I was not familiar with. Loved the casting--brilliant choices and direction.
For those looking for cheap tickets, well they do have rush tickets. A friend was generous and offered to line up about 6:30am. First in line and got side orchestra row F. Great view and not obstructed.

hrmm... guess I need to subscribe to better paper services. Not sure the etiquette of naming services so I won't go into details, but the two that I belong to have HAD NOTHING for this show. Except for Joanna Day during that week in July..
Any suggestions (on better paper services?)

So the grosses are abysmal. Jean has done the press tours. Nobody is buying tickets.
When will this show finally offer some paper to at least partially fill the house? Like come on people throw us a bone here...

Curious to see what this weeks' grosses look like. Simard is out all week (planned vacation) bur presumably Hilty will be in on reduced schedule and Williams/Seber will be in as well. I'm anxious to

(Video below.) And for the record, Oscar voting ended last Tuesday, so his appearance or possible no-show at the SAGs will have no bearing on whether he wins an Academy Award this Sunday. Like the members of BAFTA, the Oscar voters will vote ostensibly based on Culkin

Lotteries Feb 24
2025, 07:44:53 PM
for the telecharge lotteries, definitely enter before the first drawing of the morning which is usually 10AM. I believe that is the main lottery draw for winners, and the 3pm drawing is only to replace 10am winners who did not purchase tickets.
Broadway direct does not have this policy and only has one drawing at 2pm/3pm/4pm depending on the show.

help me understand the math here. Gatsby as an example.
The Great Gatsby - $1.3 million gross, 92% capacity, $120 atp (Up ~$293k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.165 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $164k
Estimated profit of $164K is not what the math

I don't believe the first preview is any indication at how well a show is selling. that said I did spot check on telecharge and seems about 75% full for the first two weeks of previews. Looking a bit head to May/June it's selling okay but again still in that 50-60% sold so far. I hardly call this a huge hit.
My opinion still stands. It's a topic/musician that people don't know and it's a pretty sad story to tell.
As with all (ok most) shows I wish

"Certainly, she does not sell tickets."
Literally this is true. I have never seen Idina behind the box office window at the Nederlander. Maybe one day...
I did hear that she was at the read for Ali if they needed her over at Tommy. I believe her ghost still lives upstairs collecting Rent royalty checks.

I sincerely hope K. Culkin's sick loved one is okay. but this guy sure seems like a DIVA.
He missed the big awards (critics choice, WGA) in LA last weekend due to rehearsals for GGR. ok fine. Committed but he has a real chance for an Oscar and his Director/Screenwriter Eisenberg would have loved his support. That stage looked empty without anyone else there.
Now he misses BAFTA because of a sick family member. I'm sorry sweetie, but the show must go on. Get on the pl

a few comments/suggestions. I'm not sure how often you visit NYC but a few things to consider.
1) Death Becomes Her. The OG stars (Hilty, Simard) will likely only be in the show through Fall 2025. They might extend beyond that, but not guaranteed. and they both could easily leave after Tonys if something "better" comes along. that said both have had mixed successes so a solid paycheck in a long-running show is hard to say goodbye to.
2) Oh Mary I would absolutely s

updated rush report for those interested. I arrived at about 8:20 this morning and was #1 in line. #2 person arrived closer to 9am. by 10am there were only 5 people queued up. I tried todaytix at 9am and was told rush tix were all taken. TT probably has very few rush seats. TodayTix rush/lottery is such a gimmick.
