Patti has said the same, but that year's most outstanding performance was clearly Joanna Gleason's masterful work in Into The Woods.  

If you're missing Riedel so badly, maybe you need better aim? 

Search for any of the scathing reviews of Suzanne Somers' one-woman show, The Blonde in the Thunderbird.  Being trapped watching this travesty of supposed theater, I can state that those critics were generous. 

Who was your favorite host of the Oscar's?  Or the Golden Globe's? 

It's not against union rules.  The 9th show is paid at double-time, unless the previous/following week has only 7 performances (remembering that the Broadway "week" is Monday-Sunday), in which case it's just paid at the regular rate or an additional 1/8 of salary.  

And yes, in most cases everyone in the company DOES do all 9 shows.  We don't like it, but it happens.

Could you tell us where those gay bars are?  I'd be amazed to see free drag shows that are even better than "Oh, Mary".  

They don't have a 9-show week at the time you specified.  Broadway weeks run from Mon-Sun (not Sun-Sat), and Mondays are usually dark. 

William Finn's Romance in Hard Times still haunts me after seeing it at The Public back in the 90s.

Oh, lort, I'd already blocked this from my mind.  SO disappointing.  Like a 90s Hallmark TV Movie, with added bits from the 1996 dancing-cockroach movie Joe's Apartment for some reason. 

Matlby and Shire's "Big" was... depressing.  My friend left at intermission, while I unwisely stayed only to be confronted with not one, but TWO dream ballets (one on skateboards).  I'd been obsessed with their music for ages, but this score was terrible. 

I left humming the sets. 

In Jagged Little Pill, two people interrupt the singer of "Ironic"...

"Hold up... Wait a second! That's actually not ironic!"

"Right? If we're using irony as defined in Greek tragedy, I don't see how, like, a fly in your beverage applies."

"That's not irony... that's just like... shi**y." 

My brain read this as "Naked Boys Singing has clothed." 

There is currently a non-equity tour out now, and the base pay for the ensemble is what I used to get for doing non-equity tours... THIRTY YEARS AGO.  It used to be that those tours were the only place that young performers could be paid well and gain valuable experience, but it seems things have changed and producers are taking advantage of them.  

Is it possible to block someone here so you don't have to see their posts?

American Idiot was critically acclaimed and ran over a year.  Hardly a flop.
