I like theatrekid's thinking. Why don't we just wait and see?

munkustrap178: Well, this award is called "Best Leading Actor in a Musical", not "Best Friendy Guy in the Musical Industry". If they didnt vote just because he's a not good person, then the voters are far not professional as voters.

Watch Judi Dench, she cannot sing, she doesn't have a voice, but her Send In The Clowns is the best performance ever through out history! She's also the best Sally Bowles ever! Good musical actors are those that even though I just listen to their voices, I can notice that there are acting inside their voices. This is what musical theatre is all about! Bernadette's Being Alive is amazing, even though her voice crack! Listen to Larry Kert's Being Alive. Yes, he got good techniques and a voice, but

Oh, what the heck! Even Hugh Laurie can be denied by the Emmys. American awards shows are just plain stupid up to this stage!

OH, so DHP is better than a goat? BLAH! Btw, Raul doesn't even sound like a goat, what happened to your ears? If you want a goat, listen to Mandy Patinkin, or Bernadette Peters! Yes, it's musical theatre, YOU HAVE TO ACT! They both got a Tony because THEY KNOW HOW TO ACT through singing, not because of her voice! Interpretation in singing is what musical theatre is all about!

You are talking about vibrato? DHP DON'T even have vibrato! His voice is worse than Raul's, his acting is worse than Raul's, his singing skill is not as good as Raul's, his character is shallower than Raul's, and he sucks in dancing!

I love this man!

ALW is a bad bookwriter. See how he ruined POTO and Whistle Down the Wind...

re: Raul Esparza Understudy?

I think is because understudies are for ensembles. Since there's no ensemble, a cast who could replace another cast will be called stand-by. This is my logic, may be it's not true, i don't know.

Suddenly turns out that if Fred ever play the role, it will be a very rare night and good for those who could watch it.

Well, but she's going to sing that song, right? I definitely want to see how she will make it.

"legendary performances by Patinkin and Peters that are preserved on video."

I love this line. They are the best, isn't it?
