THE ROOMMATE Previews Aug 31
2024, 01:36:26 PM
I was in PV orchestra right, row A seat 10 and for 50 bucks I thought it was a great value. I was able to see 95% of the show. I enjoyed myself and thought it was funny.

CABARET at the Kit Kat Club Previews Apr 2
2024, 12:33:32 AM
Attended the first preview tonight. After going to see it in London twice this is my third time seeing this latest revival. My only real feedback is that I don’t get any stage presence from Gayle Rankin, at all. That being said,it was preview one so hopefully she will find her footing and make the role her own. Personally I feel Eddie & Bebe steal the show. Make sure to bring your photo id to get a stamp for free shot before entering the theater. Also, the theater was very warm

Nicole Scherzinger to star in West End Sunset Boulevard at the Savoy Oct 1
2023, 01:08:30 PM
So I saw Sunset on Friday and have been racking my brain how to give my thoughts, but the previous reviewers have already done a great job and I don't want to be repetitive.
It's not the old Sunset, not even close. Definitely go with an open mind. Personally, I found it to be entertaining and thought provoking along with a little camp thrown into the mix. And Scherzinger did a fantastic job belting her two big numbers. They both stopped the show, and for good reason. She sounded great, the orchestra sounded great and it's a strong cast. And let me point out I am in no way partial to Scherzinger, I saw her in Cats a few years ago and might know one Pussycat Dolls song. So, for anyone on the fence, I say definitely go! I was reading Variety this morning and this really sums it up:
“Scherzinger’s initial reaction when director Jamie Lloyd offered her the role of Desmond was one of incredulity. “I was like, ‘Are you out of your mind?’ First of all, I still look great under bright lights. And isn’t that an older woman who is, like, an old relic? How does that even remotely have anything to do with me?,” Scherzinger told The Sunday Times. “I was, like, ‘Yo, this chick is crazy. I don’t want to play her. She crazy.’”
It was the music that persuaded Scherzinger to take up the role eventually. “When I listened to the music I felt those were songs I could have written, like they were my songs. This is a completely different show than the musical people know. I feel like we might as well change the name of the show because it’s a completely different story we’re telling,” Scherzinger told The Sunday Times, adding that in her interpretation of the role Desmond “is not crazy. She’s madly passionate about what she feels like she was put on this earth to do. She’s in love with her art. And there’s nothing tragic or pitiful about that. She’s wanting to be seen for who she really is.”
I hope this helps, and don’t be too hard on my review lol! It can be a tough crowd in here lol. 😊

Thank you everyone for such interesting feedback about this production. As an old man of 45 I have had the opportunity to experience this show a few times….1994 at The Shubert Theater in Los Angeles with Glenn Close. Loved it so much that I bought tickets to see Glenn Close replacement Faye Dunaway….and we all know how that worked out lol. Next production I saw was Broadway with Betty Buckley and then again with Karen Mason. Then came 2017 with Glenn Close again. Anyway, I share

Chastain stars in A DOLL'S HOUSE On Broadway - P/reviews & News Thread Feb 15

I attended the preview on 2/14. I'm here just to fill everyone in on seating info. I was row O seats 12 and 14. For being on the side I found them to be great seats, especially for only $99 each on today tix. It is definitely a high stage so you definitely don't want to be super close up. Also, it's two hours and ten minutes no intermission, and they make it very clear if you get up to use restroom you will not be allowed back in. If anyone is curious at 7:45pm the stage starting moving and here is what happened. The entire theater was filming it and ushers were allowing it and even getting out of the way so people could film it as long as phones were off my 8pm. I found that interesting. Here is a link to see what I mean:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y13aRgKige66dvFRczyi7jxfs_STR0eS/view?usp=drivesdk
. Sorry I have never tried to upload pics or video lol I hope it works.

Elton John & Jake Shears’ TAMMY FAYE to hit the West End this fall Oct 23
2022, 12:53:12 AM
Sorry about that! My three personal favorites were Empty Hands, He Promised Me, and If You Came to See Me Cry. If You Came to See Me Cry was very much the standout songs for me. Sets actually reminded me of a cross between American Psycho and the old Hollywood Squares game show. There is also a lot of movement throughout the audience too. If anyone has any more questions feel free to ask. Also, one last thing. I had called and spoke with the box office manager the morning of the show and he s

Here is the song list from the program. I saw the show on 10-21 and found it to be very entertaining. Katie Brayben is absolutely thrilling. I was thoroughly impressed with her portrayal of Tammy Faye. Btw, for anyone who gets tickets the limited view seats are just fine you can see everything as it's a very small theater. | | |
